This chapel lies in the heart of Evora. It is adorned with the bones of
previous monks.
Although this is not a megalithic site, it is a
curious chapel and worth a visit.

Capela
dos Ossos

(Chapel of bones).
Description
-
Although this is not a Megalithic site, it is
well worth a visit. The chapel was adorned with the Skull and Tibia of over
5,000 monks. The Effect is spectacular. There is another Capela Dos Ossos in
Faro (Algarve), another in Italy and there was one in Valletta,
Malta until it
was destroyed.
The writing over the
entrance reads 'Our bones are waiting for yours'
  
The Ceilings are painted
with thought provoking (Masonic?) imagery.

How did they prepare the bones of their
brothers...?
