About Us.

Who Are We: Ancient-wisdom is essentially a one-man-show run by myself, Alex, supported with invaluable programming assistance from Adrian (aka 'The Flying Beard'), and never forgetting the eternal patience of my wife, Mary.

When was the site started: The site was started in 2005, and has undergone a couple of face-changes since then... (the scars of which are unfortunately still visible to this day). It is upgraded on a daily basis.

Site Objectives: The objectives of the site have changed little since its conception. They are:

  1. A clarification of certain apparent 'mysteries' of the past.

  2. Bridging the gap between popular literature and scientific discovery.

  3. Forming a better resolution of the events of prehistory.

Because of the nature of the field of study it remains essential to maintain a focus on the truth, whilst at the same time allowing an element of speculative research. As such, all pages are fully referenced and any speculation is restricted to logical and rational argument within the context of other discoveries.

Contributions to the site: It is my personal ambition that the site should one day include a significant contribution from you guys out there... (whether it be in the shape of photos, observations, references, or criticism etc), which leads us to the forum...

Forum: There are of course already several forums dedicated to prehistory, and establishing a new one is dependant on demand. At present, the forum has been temporarily shut down due to an excess of spam (something I didn't account for..).

The new forum (coming soon) will be capable of blocking spam and will hopefully see some interesting debate in the coming years.

Please feel free to say hi and add your voice to any discussion...
